UI/UX, Website Redesign

TEAM4FRONT.COM

Project Overview

4FRONT’s site had been operating with the same visual design architecture (with only minor changes) for the past three years. After adding content such as documents, offerings, page, popups and other content to the website, and the structure and navigation became  complicated and non- user friendly – cutting off vital information from the user.

Evolving needs and an underdeveloped feature-set was beginning to complicate and limit the team when building new pages or trying to introduce new ways for visitors and leads to interact on the website.

Project Goals

  • Improve the website user experience so that visitors can find information quicker and easier.
  • Redesign & Standardize all UI/UX elements, writing new brand guide rules in the process.
  • Add new features with custom code and plugins
  • Enforce a persistent global navigation throughout department sites and implementing a more robust search engine.
  • Improve design consistency among all  related pages and websites. This includes providing multiple template options but ensuring all of them meet our branding guidelines,
  • Improve our web editing capabilities so that web editors can create and maintain websites with less effort. This includes empowering web editors with the ability to automate routine content changes, tag and reuse content, restore previous versions of content, WYSIWYG editor for making content edits, workflow process (where applicable), ability to edit from PC or Mac, etc.
  •  Use responsive web design to create a more robust and scalable mobile  environment.
  • Audit & improve SEO

PROJECT DETAILS

THE PROJECT

This 3-4 month website update, refinement , & reconstruction included almost a year of research and prep work, a completely new UI & UX with rewritten copy, new photography, improved feature set and more.

Creative Strategy

We set out to design a website that showcases 4FRONT’s mission, vision values & interconnected suite of capabilities in a way that keeps us competitive. We also strove to show how the company has evolved over the last 14 years and why it matters.

We utilized the company’s refreshed visual brand guidelines, in addition to the pandemic-inspired pivot and repositioning of the sports and entertainment industry to give this project purpose and a strong identity.

Brand Preparation & REFRESH

Prior to re-designing & deploying the new website, we first needed to create and implement rules, specifications and regulations for different items, effectively creating a brand new chapter of the brand guide containing information on, visual storytelling, cards, tables, grids, dropdowns, buttons & more. Combined with the rest of the brand guide, the now ~50 page document ensured our efforts were aligned and standardized across the board.

PROJECT Deliverables

THE PROJECT

Our primary goal was to redesign, restructure and rewrite the entire website in order to make it easier to navigate, understand, and guide visitors to contact the company (drive conversions). We also  audited plugins to account for redundant and needed functionalities, Improved navigation paths & page count to make it easier for visitors to find relevant content, Increase audience engagement/conversion with updated copy and forms & Seamlessly integrated Google Analytics & Microsoft Clarity.

PROJECT RESULTS

We were successful in repositioning our brand by redesigning & rewriting our website to better reflect our company, our values, our partners and our industry as a whole. Many industry partners, clients and connections were excited and throughly impressed with the rebrand and the changes made.

project Feedback

“Our passionate team at 4FRONT is turning the page this month in more ways than one. So incredibly proud to share our new Website that showcases how we’ve evolved over the last 14 years and how we’re positioned to help the #SportsBiz with an epic comeback story post-pandemic. A huge standing ovation for our creative whiz Darius Thomas for his vision in making this re-launch a reality.”

– Dan Migala , Co-Founder of 4FRONT

“New year, new website! I couldn’t be more excited to share our redesigned website. The redesign is meant SHOW vs. TELL and give people a sense for who we are, what we do and who we do it for.

As you’ll see on the website, one of our company values is “All In” so, with that in mind, huge props the many 4FRONTers who contributed and collaborated on this project over the last few weeks and months.

In addition, our team was very busy in 2020 participating in panels, thought leadership discussions, webinars, Zooms, articles, blogs and just about every other form of communication you can think of in support of the #sportsbiz industry. The new website aggregates all of this great content along with our various social channels.”
